Construction Begins on Drollinger Family Stage

Construction begins this month on Drollinger Family Stage, a state-of-the-art new performance stage set to anchor Lawton Plaza. The open-air complex is a gift from the Drollinger Family Charitable Foundation to the College of Communication and Fine Arts, and will become the permanent home of the annual Shakespeare on the Bluff Festival, in addition to hosting live theatrical and dance events, music concerts, and public lectures. Construction will run 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, with some weekend work as needed, and is expected to be completed in October.
